A Day in the Life…….Someone Who Helped Me Have an Ah-Ha Moment

A few night ago, I was watching 20/20 Medical Mysteries, and there was a gentleman on there who truly amazed me.Apparently, this young man had been born with a rare condition in which he had no arms and no legs. Although he once thought about committing suicide because he was tired of dealing with the pain and frustration of living this way, he decided to move forward with his life and become the best person that he could be.Now he is a motivational speaker and minister who has has changed the lives of countless people around the world.
After viewing the story, I got me to thinking about how many of us are living to our full potential. After all, there was a young man who suffers from a rare condition and although he could have given up, he proceeded to be the best he can be.
He has such enthusiasm and passion for life that it is contagious. He can write, play sports, and do so many other things that we take for granted. But more importantly than all that, he is doing what he is meant to do.
He courageously and unselfishly inspires others to achieve their goals and aspirations, and he consistently administers huge doses of unconditional love to others. In my opinion, he is the epitome of greatness.
Although we all think we have problems and bicker and complain every day about everyday matters, how many of us are living up to our full potential?
I for one know that I fall short on occasion but keep getting back up. Life can be a struggle, but I am determined to succeed. God put me here for a reason.
He wants me to accomplish great things in life and to share my knowledge with others. My special talent is writing and I will use my gift to help improve the lives of others. By doing this, I too will fulfill my life’s purpose…to give and improve other lives, too!
