Sometimes when you’re involved with internet marketing, it is hard to stay motivated. Some days I feel totally hyped and excited and other days I don’t. However, if you truly want to succeed with IM then you can’t ever give up.You simply have to find new ways to pick yourself up when you’re feeling down.

Here are some tips that I’ve learned in the past year that I want to share with you:

  1. Believe in yourself and make a conscious decision to succeed online. By doing this, you will stay motivated.
  2. Set realistic goals that you can easily achieve and monitor. For instance, don’t just set a goal to make $1,000 a month, set a goal to make $1,000 a month by creating and promoting two content sites, submitting 10 articles to paid websites, sending out two press releases, participating in online niche forums, producing and giving away one free ebook, etc.
  3. Provide value to others. By creative and informative sites, articles, and reports that actually make a difference in the lives of others, you will feel empowered and motivated to continue because you know that you’re helping others and improving their lives.
  4. Visualize success and concentrate on the positives. Know deep in your soul that you will succeed if you keep growing, learning, and applying your knowledge.
  5. Read about or associate with others who are succeeding in internet marketing while keeping in mind that you if they can do it, you can, too!
  6. Do more of what works and less of what doesn’t work. If a certain online method isn’t working out, then concentrate on other methods that do!
  7. Celebrate successes. No matter how small, celebrate your victories. After all, you owe it to yourself to get a “pat on the back” for a job well done. For instance, the first time I made .16 online, I was so happy because I realized that if I did it once, I could multiply that success over and over again.
  8. Call on your resources. Whenever you feel that you’re losing focus, then seek support from other IMers who have been where you are now. A great place is the Warrior Forum or my membership site, Internet Marketing Writer.
  9. Consistently work toward your goals. Every single day, do something to make your dreams a reality. Even if you only have one hour a day, make it the most productive hour that it can be. Then, when you’ve accomplished your daily goal, celebrate!
  10. Have fun. Don’t get so caught up in succeeding that you forget to enjoy yourself. Every day, do something that you enjoy doing so you can replenish your mind and spirit.
