A few weeks ago, I was conducting some niche medical research for a friend of mine with a chronic illness, and I came across a Made for Adsense site that was plastered with Google Adsense ads and had about two pages of non-relevant content.

I was pissed to say the least.

It was obvious that this website owner was only trying to make money off his bogus site and was not the least bit concerned about the relevancy of his content or his user’s overall user experience. He was out for the fast buck and didn’t care about his reputation as a website owner at all.

Well, I immediately clicked out of his site, bypassing any Adsense ads ( I didn’t want him to make one red cent off my clicking) and then found another site with relevant site and immediately bookmarked it so that I could return later. I then passed on the word about this other relevant site.

The whole experience caused me to think about the importance of quality content and how certain website owners give other owners a bad name.

The bogus owners probably don’t realize that quality content is king and that they should always provide the best content ever. After all, that is what draws loyal customers and get you the real sales. Instead they are out for the money. What they don’t realize is that they’re leaving bucks on the table.

Consider this scenario. You are a site owner who writes plagiarized material and then throws it on a blank page with a ton of ads to make a few dollars. Yes, you might get 10 exit clicks amounting to a whopping .40 from every visitor. However, if you had provided relevant content, you could have gotten 1-2 product sales from your recommended products. After all, visitors are more likely to purchase products from owners who provide them with quality content and solid information. They view these owners as honest and take their recommendations more seriously. They don’t just click to get off those bogus sites full of ads screaming “give me money”.So, my lesson today folks is to always, alway, always provide your visitors with a good user experience. It doesn’t matter if you have one visitor or a gazillion.

By doing this, you’ll appease your human readers, build loyalty and will be handsomely rewarded for your efforts.

As for that other site Made for Adsense site, I checked it today and it is now deindexed and I say “Good riddance sucker“. I guess Google caught up with your dumb butt and slapped you silly!

Hooray for Google slapping.

About a year ago, I discovered internet marketing. Although it hasn’t been an easy struggle to get where I am now, I am very proud of my accomplishments so far. Last month, I averaged over $75.00 a day and this month, I expect my daily income to be even higher.Last year, I was averaging about $5.00 a day with my IM efforts. So, $70 a day is not a bad raise at all.

You might be wondering what caused this huge jump in earnings?

I’ll have to say that it wasn’t just one thing but a culmination of factors that have helped me become more successful with internet marketing. They are:

I. I stopped looking for the next best thing and focused on project at a time. I refused to hop from one program to another looking for the next best thing. Right now, I am concentrating solely on article and bum marketing and it seems to be working out quite well for me.

2. I started taking action and stopped buying everything in sight. I basically had a gold mine sitting right on my hard drive. However, I was so busy chasing a “magic bullet” that I couldn’t see what was right in front of me. After I put myself on a monthly “spending budget” and only purchased items I desperately needed, my income increased.

3. I improved my ad writing techniques by studying hard-hitting sales letters and tested my conversions. I also hired a sales-letter guru to review some of my work and offer constructive criticism.

4. I’ve started using all types of advertising methods. Before, I was scared of Adwords because my ad writing skills were weak now I use them regularly. Although I’m no Adword master, I have gotten my feet wet and made a profit from my actions.

5. I stopped being afraid to make improvements. At one time, I was afraid of changing my ads around or trying different publishing methods. Now, I love to make changes. I love improving my sites and tracking my results. I love discovering new techniques.

6. I consistently work on my business everyday. Not a day goes by when I don’t do something productive. I don’t expect to be perfect but I do expect to do my best and get it done and I don’t procrastinate.

7. Last but not least, I stopped listening to idiots that were only trying to sell me bogus products. Now, I only listen to successful and honest marketers and those marketers whose vision is in alignment with mine. I work consistently, expect good things to happen and expect success.

This is really nothing magical just consistency with action that brings results.

Recently, I read a post from a newbie on a paid forum asking if he should purchase cheap leads as a traffic generating technique. A few internet marketers (that sold leads for a living) chimed in with a resounding “yes.” However, the vast majority of internet marketers said, “absolutely not.” I am of the opinion that newbies should never buy leads. Here’s why:First of all, cheap leads aren’t necessarily targeted. Let’s say you have a website that sells dog food. So, you see an advertisement that says, purchase 10,000 leads for $79. You think to yourself, “Heck, I can afford 79 bucks for a quick return on my investment.” So, you purchase the list, send everyone on the list an email and then wait for the sales to roll in. You wait a few days and then a month and don’t receive one sale. Why? Because you purchased untargeted cheap leads. They weren’t from dog owners who needed dog food. Heck, half of the list was cat owners who hated dogs. Second, people hate SPAM. Every day, I receive tons of spam mail and although AOL does a great job of putting it in my SPAM folder, I get ticked off and always report it to AOL. As such, if you’re sending information from one of these lists, where people didn’t request such information, you’re ummm SPAMMING them and you’re a SPAMMER and for a newbie, like you, this is simply BAD BUSINESS. As such you could not only harm your reputation but you could also get a spam complaint and your business could get shut down before you even get it started.

Third, they are expensive. Quality leads cost a ton of money. The type of leads that actually might make you some money are not cheap. They are expensive and even still they may or may not work. Instead, you should concentrate on other traffic generating tips until you have the knowledge and capital to purchase those quality leads.

In conclusion, stay away from cheap leads. Try other marketing methods instead. Build your capital and then purchase some quality leads that will rake in the profits safely and without fear of getting spammed or ruining your reputation!

A few days ago, I received a very nice email from one of my customers. It stated that she not only enjoyed my eBook but also appreciated me taking the time to answer her questions before she purchased the eBook.  She then thanked me for helping  her download Adobe and open the pdf file and indicated that she would definitely do business with me in the near future.

In all, it took me 7 minutes out of my day to help this customer and now I have a lifelong customer. How great is that? This got me to thinking about whether other marketers truly grasp the importance of making a good impression on their customers. How many of them actually take the time to help prospective clients before and after their purchase? How many deliver outstanding customer service? How many actually work to create products of value that can really improve their customer’s lives?Hopefully more marketers realize the importance of  being good to their customers than those that don’t.

If you’re truly serious about your IM business then you must treat your customers with respect and will do your best to service them.

Here are a few customer service  tips you must follow every day:

1. Always tell the truth. Don’t embellish facts simply to make a sale. People are sick and tired of lies and can spot b.s. a mile away. They are fed up with internet marketers who promise the moon and deliver sand. By being truthful you will gain customer respect and build a solid reputation for being trustworthy.

2. Include as much information as possible on your sales page. Prospects hate the old “bait-and-switch” routine where marketers cleverly withhold recurring fees or additional fees. Not only is this fraudulent but is a good way to develop a bad reputation online. Therefore, you should always include as much information as you can about your offer so there is no question about what your customer will receive. Don’t hold anything back.

3. Always give your contact information to prospects and customers. Not only will this demonstrate your sincerity but will prove also that you sincerely care about your customers and are open to their feedback (good or bad).

4. Put your refund policy in your sales page or advertisement. Therefore, if customers are ever not happy with your service or policy, there will be no question about your refund policy.

5. Offer assistance with the product or service before and after the sale. For instance, if you’re selling a software script, it might be a good idea to offer installation or troubleshooting advice for non-technical folks. This can be done via helpdesk, phone or email. The key is to be available for assistance and to help whenever you can. After all, no one wants to buy something and then find that they can’t get help if it doesn’t work.

In conclusion, if you complete the above tips, your customers will become your greatest allies and will spread the word about your product or service offering. In no time at all, your business will grow simply because you took the time to show you care and added value to your customer’s lives.
