Slow and Steady Wins the Internet Marketing Race
Posted by KristiJan 23
If you’re like me, you’re probably bombarded with messages from internet gurus who want to share with us some get rich quick scheme. I used to be one of those “get rich quick types” junkies. Yes, I admit it. I used to buys a ton of internet marketing crap and then dream of hitting it big with the newest super IM technique. Then, I would get overwhelmed with too much information and do nothing because the newest and greatest method just didn’t work for me. Then, I would hear about something else and buy the next method and start the craziness all again.
It was ridiculous and this went on for way too long. Now, I don’t do that anymore. I set realistic daily income goals and I use the methods that I already know. My new motto is “If it isn’t broke then don’t fix it.” And, you know what? I am less stressed and I have miraculously realized that I don’t have to figure it all out at once.
I can take my time and go at my own pace. I can relish in my small successes and experience joy when I meet my daily goals and then be happy with that. After all, evidence has shown, over time that the “slow and steady” wins the race.
So, my question to you today is, are you on the slow and steady course or the fast track? How is it working for you?

Opinions on the right way to approach internet marketing are wide and varied and, like armpits, many of them stink. I, like you, am committed to the “slow and steady” method and have been for a couple of years. I, also like you, spent my first year of internet marketing buying every over-hyped and over-rated system that landed in my inbox. After spending way too much time and money on these schemes I realized that there is no magic method to fast cash online. Sure, you can make $50.00 per week selling a product that is running hot on Clickbank just by posting a few ads on Craigslist and USFreeAds but who can live on $50.00 per week? And all these “hot” items have a shelf-life. You will soon be out in the cold with zero income as these products move from “hot” to “not”, unless you devise a plan for long-term income. The best method of attaining that type of reliable income is to devise a plan of action, set some goals that are clear and obtainable and just do it. Don’t get disappointed and disillusioned if you make nothing in your first month, that is not what this game is about. People need to know you and trust you before they will buy from you – focus on getting known as a priority. That is very early in my “plan of action” and it probably should be a part of yours too.

Yes Colin, I think that most people are excited about the hype of “quick riches” and “fast money”. So excited that that they are lured into many get rich quick schemes. Sadly, I fell for the trap and so have many other marketers that I know. The key is to NOT fall for the hype or B.S. from overrated systems and instead build a business over time. If you want to promote products that make money promote evergreen products that will stand the test of time. Do not focus on “one hit wonders” that will eventually fizzle out. Or, if you are determined to go the “hot product” route balance them with evergreen products that will last over time. By doing this, you will build a solid business.
