Is Having a Quality Facebook Page Really Worth it For Your Business?

After the movie, the Social Network, came out, Facebook popularity increased tremendously. Prior to that, it was more of buddy hooking up with buddy system where younger folks connected with old friends. After the movie, more businesses started harnessing the power of Facebook to attract customers and market themselves online. So, if you’re a business owner, you’re probably wondering if it is really worth it?
Yes! Yes! And another big Yes! Whether you’re selling products or services, you too can advertise your product and service online. Right now, Facebook has surpassed MySpace as the online hangout site. The most convincing proof is how Facebook users keep logging in and posting anything and everything about themselves. The more their network laps it up, the more these prospects post and the more they post, the greater your chance to reach them.
Still not persuaded that Facebook is better than a cheeseburger and fries, here are more figures to consider:
- Over 1.350 million Facebook users log into Facebook every single day. These numbers do not even include casual users who check their Facebook account once or twice a week.
- Facebook has 350 million registered accounts and 100 million in the United States alone.
- When American Idol is on, over 20 million folks log into their Facebook accounts to share tidbits with other American Idol lovers.
- The more members you get to “like” your page, the more likely they are to act on your message. In fact, Facebook recently noted that the average use for a daily FB user is to stay online for at least 55 minutes just going over the news and events happening on FB. So, if you tap into just 30 seconds of that member’s attention, you could get them to act on your marketing message.
- Facebook popularity continues to grow every single day. For instance, there are many Facebook features added every day, including, Facebook Connect, Fan Box, games, hundreds of approved apps, and millions of news feeds.
So, if you think about it, you can’t afford not to use Facebook to promote your business. After all, Facebook isn’t going anywhere and if you jump onboard the Facebook wagon, you could see a tremendous increase in your traffic and revenue. So, what are you waiting for?
