You may be wondering where I’ve been lately – well, I’ve been diversifying my income streams and doing my best to focus my energies on one thing at a time. Every week, I have decided to focus on one idea and to stop trying to put all my energies into 5 different things at a time. I even completed a mini business plan this week and you know what, my business plan has given me direction and purpose. It keeps me grounded and focused and it is motivating.

Whenever I feel temped to drift away from my business plan, I simply pick it up, read it again and get back grounded. My plan includes my business model (freelancing, PLR creation, affiliate /bum marketing, niche websites, eBook production , and residual income sites. It also includes my long and short term income goals ($52,000 a year for 1^st year and $104,000 for the 2^nd year), and expenses ($500.00 a month). This equates to about 25% freelancing and 75% passive income streams.

My business plan is a 2 page document but is quite powerful indeed. I strongly suggest that ALL of you create a basic business plan right now.

Again, this is another one of the best ways to make money with your own writing. Think about it. If you’re frustrated because you’re making pennies for the articles and writing projects that you really work hard on, so are thousands of other writers. If you know the ways to help them make more money for the work they do, or to write for themselves and earn more money, they will pay you to get those secrets – and they deserve them!

You can do this idea in several different ways. One idea is to create your own site that is attractive, keyword-rich and contains your own autoresponder. Offer a seven-day course to help writers earn more money in a shorter amount of time. Research the best ways to make money through writing and then write up your seven days full of emails with the best information you can find.

Then, charge a specific amount for the seven day course. If you make sure that you’ve done all you can to get your website listed high in the search engine result pages and that you’re getting a good amount of relevant traffic, you can make quite a bit of money with this method. Even if you charge $300.00 for the seven-day course, if you get one sign-up a day for a month, you will make a grand total of $9,000 that month!

The best thing about this method is that you will only have to work initially to set up the autoresponder and write the seven day-course – as well as making the website. Once this is done, you will be making an autopilot living. You can make money while you’re out shopping, while you’re spending time with your family, and even while you’re sleeping!

When you do this, you not only make money from writers who want to learn this information, but you build your contact list. If you ask any internet marketer in the world what the most important thing they can do for their business is, they will answer that you need to build your list! This means serious money and no crabby clients.

Businesses always need new ways to create more traffic for their sites, more publicity, and more clients or customers. Press releases are one of the best ways they can do this. By creating a “Press Release-a-Month Club,” you can provide them with one press release a month along with distribution to press release directories and databases.

Most businessmen and women would jump on this chance because it’s time consuming to submit their releases to different companies, even if they don’t have to do the actual writing of the press release. Many of them either hate to write or they feel less than confident in their writing abilities. This is a perfect opportunity for you to hop in and offer your writing services. The information is there and all you have to do is add flavor and interest and showcase your writing talent. Finding businessmen and women who are willing to pay great money for these letters isn’t that hard, and again, you will be earning money for yourself with your writing!

With this idea, you purchase websites, add value to them, and then flip them for profit. As you know, people love ready-made businesses and will pay top dollar for someone to do all their work.

Flipping a website is very similar to the real estate flipping industry. You simply take the website that you’ve made or purchased, and create more value for the site in different ways. For example, perhaps the person who purchases your website would like more traffic. You could then submit it to directories, social bookmark it, create a Squidoo lens, blog, articles, etc. Or, let’s say that the person wants the site monetized. You could then add an eBook or short report, add affiliate products, etc.

You can do this work for him and charge him for purchasing the website in the beginning, and then for flipping the website to his specifications. Or, you could purchase a site you’re interested in, add value to it, and then sell it for a higher price.

Either way, once you’ve made the website more valuable, you can then resell it to businessmen and women who would like a ready made business to work with. Sounds simple, right?

The thing with purchasing and flipping the site is that you need to make sure you have the available funds to purchase a fairly cheap but nice site. You will also want to be fairly sure you will make a good profit that will pay for the work you do to the site. If you’re not sure about this, creating your own site may be the way to go.
