Internet Marketing Writer Plan

So, today is Monday and it is the beginning of the week for this internet marketing writer and there are so many things that I want to accomplish this month but I just realized that I don’t have much time. Now, typically I would go into panic mode and start doing a bunch of stuff to increase my revenues but this week, I’ve decided to stay focused on my goals. That is, although I would love to write a bunch of DS articles to make some extra cash or bid on a bunch of Elance projects to make some more money, I am gong to resist the temptation. Instead, I am going to focus on increasing my residual income. As you know, I have quite a bit of blogger blogs that haven’t made any money and my new goal is to make each one make at least $10+ a month. Now, mind you that $10 each is NOT a lot of money and I’m totally open to them making more but when you have 31 of these blogs and each one earns you $10.00 a month then you have $380.00 extra a month to add to the pot and that, my friend, starts looking much better, right? Well, it most certainly does to me!

Now, how am I going to increase the revenue of each blog to $10 a month? I am going to market those blogs like crazy. I am going to build quality links on higher PR sites and blogs, use Yahoo Answers to drive traffic, and write and submit articles to article directories. By doing this, I should skyrocket my search engine rankings and move up the ranks so that more people see my blogs and purchase my products or generate ad revenue for me. Well, gotta get to work so that I can put my plan into action.

Hello fellow internet marketing writers:

Before 2009 rolls around, I thought I would take a moment to post my goals for 2009. I have been dilly and dallying in this internet marketing stuff for about a year now and I can say that I learned a lot. I am nowhere near where I want to be but I am better off than I was when I first started. My past experience has taught me that being a successful internet marketing writer is more than writing great articles. It is also about being a savvy marketer and getting targeted visitors. Therefore, in 2009, I am going to focus on marketing first AND writing second. By doing this, I should be able to reach my income goal of $5000 a month+ which equates to $166+ a day.

To get to this amount, here is my plan:

  • Use various marketing message to get my name out there. This includes forum, pay per click, article and press release marketing and more.

In addition, I plan to:

  • Create 12 niche sites
  • Create 12 short reports/eBooks – 1 report per month
  • Promote 52 affiliate products – 1 product per week
  • Participate in Residual Income sites – 150 articles per month (divided amongst) these sites:
  • Today.com
  • Bukisa
  • eHow
  • Triond
  • Helium
  • Suite 101

So, as you can see, I plan on being quite busy and in doing so, I will reach my income goals.

What do you plan on doing in 2009?

Hey guys,

Kristi here. If you’ve been following my blog since I started writing it then you know that I loved writing personalized posts. I love sharing my persnal experiences with you, keeping you up to date about my IM efforts. However, there was a few months, where I stopped doing this. Yes,I posted but I didn’t tell you what I was doing.

Was it because I was mysterious? Was it because I didn’t care anymore?

Well, I have to be completely and totally honest with you – I let this blog fall by the wayside because I got lazy, lost  interest in my dream of becoming a successful IMer and helping others. I got tired of working so hard and NOT seeing the fruits of my labor. I also got tired of feeling like NO ONE cared whether I wrote or not.

In fact, I got so tired of IM and frustrated that I wasn’t helping anyone anyway that I let this blog go. In essence, I fell off the IM bandwagon.

It also didn’t help that I  came across a 4 month writing gig that monopolized all my time and was fun. Yes, for those 4 months that you didn’t hear from me, I was actually pretty content.

I didn’t have to worry about scouring for projects, worrying about IM or anything else. I just wrote articles and got paid for them. It was a nice and content feeling but I didn’t really feel driven. I did the work, got paid and had a bit of fun but I still felt something was missing. (My dreams)

Anyway, I kept at it for 4 months.

During this time, I still received residual income from my IM efforts (affiliate products and niche blogs). Although I didn’t work on IM during this time, I still received the benefits of my hard IM work from before. It was a nice feeling and a reminder that IM works.

Well, in November, the company that monopolized all my time for 4 months, shut down. They told me and all the other content producers to take a hike because the site just wasn’t making it and that was that. Easy come – easy go.

I could have been bitter but actually I was a bit excited. Taking that time away from IM, helped refresh my enthusiasm and made me see that I can’t let IM go. I have to keep working at this NO MATTER what. I have to make this  IM stuff work out and I have to do it now.

I have 2 years to reach my goal of $100,000 a year + IM writer and I will do it.

I will accomplish my goals and I will stay focused and I will not let quick cash deter me.

Won’t you  join me in my quest again for financial freedom? I sure hope you will.

Kristi

As you know, I’ve been trying to establish myself as an Internet Marketer for over a year now. Although I have had some success, I am now ready to really delve in and make a name for myself. But how? With forum marketing of course. From what I’ve heard, forum marketing is a great way to market yourself and establish a brand name. Plus, it doesn’t cost any money to do it.

So, for the month of May, my promotional challenge will be to hit forums with a vengeance. I plan on making at least 100 quality posts. Now, I’m not talking about posting b.s. posts. I want to really give back to the forum community and build a solid reputation.

Here are a few more techniques I plan to implement:

1. Create an exciting and well written profile that helps readers get to know the real me. For instance, if it is an IM forum that I’ll be blasting, I will discuss my experience with Internet Marketing in my profile. Or, if it is a mom only forum, I’ll discuss my experience as a mom. Basically I will talk about what I know and demonstrate my expertise within my profile. This will help me build and elicit trust with my readers.

2. Next, I will make 5 meaningful posts a day. During these posts, I will not discuss my products or services. Instead, I will offer helpful advice which will establish me as an expert and help others recognize my contributions.

3. Assuming that the forum allows it, I will create and utilize a powerful signature link that doesn’t blatantly advertise my product or services but leads prospects in the right direction…to click, click, click on my link for more information (which will cleverly direct them to my site)

4. Consistently use my name in everything I do – forum posts, email messages, reports, e-books, etc. This will help me get established.

5. Establish a few mutually beneficial partnerships with other forum members, possibly even the forum owner.

Well, that’s it. My plans for May…Forum blasting. Won’t you join me in my quest? Either way, I’ll keep you posted on the results of my blast.

I confess. I’m a PLR junkie. I just love purchasing quality content with visions of taking it and making it into something great. I love the idea of buying rights to a product that I can then use any way I want. I love seeing my name on the content and calling it my own. I love the thought of creating a great product based on a mediocre one.

The only problem is that I never do anything with the PLR I have. I have dog, health, smoking, pregnancy, entrepreneur, internet marketing, and all kinds of PLR sitting on my hard drive. I have books, reports, articles, software, etc. I have so much PLR sitting around that I don’t even know what all I have.

Isn’t that pathetic? I think so. I buy PLR with high hopes and then it just sits and sits on my hard drive collecting virtual dust.Well, this month, I’m fed up and am finally going to do something about this.

I’m going on a PLR rewriting blitz of sorts.Every single day I’m going to take my existing PLR and turn it into something brand new and fresh. I’m going to use my rewriting expertise to the highest degree. Basically, I’m going to go nuts rewriting PLR.

My goal is to rewrite two articles a day so 60 articles total (this month). I don’t know how I will monetize the content yet. I might submit it to directories or submit for pay. I don’t know. I am just confident that this idea will make me some extra money. And I’m going to report my results to you so that you can see, too. Wish me luck. This challenge starts today.  Won’t you join in?
