As you guys know, I am a BIG fan of residual income. I love it and I want to have as much of it as I possibly can.
Well, I just decided to do a 100 article challenge on not one but 12 of the major residual sharing sites. I chose this number because 3.25 articles a day isn’t enough to burn me out but enough to get some real results. I will use the 131 articles posted on Associated Content which have made me $469.00 total (including residuals and performance payments) and the baseline. So, in essence, we’ll work with a baseline of $3.58 per article.
Now, this may not seem like a lot but I do believe that this amount will continue to grow with time. In addition, most of these AC articles weren’t even search engine optimized. I just wrote about whatever I felt like writing about.
That said,AC will be my baseline for this experiment. I plan on doing very little marketing with this articles. I may do a bit of social bookmarking but that is it. This is to keep the results fair as I did very little promotion with AC.
To me, this experiment should really get my multiple streams of writing income going and should help me figure out which revenue sharing sites are worth pursuing.
In addition, I plan on sharing my results with you.
Here is the list of sites that I plan on concentrating on:
Today - completed ( $100 blog posts - $1.00 per article +1.18 (unique visits) or $118.00 total).
Bukisa – in progress (86 articles - $.18 per article or .22$19.39 total)
Xomba – iin progress (30 articles -.54 per article or $16.42 total)
Triond – coming soon
Squidoo – coming soon
Bright hub – coming soon
HubPages - coming soon
So right now, my earnings may not seem very impressive but just wait! For only a couple of hours of work per day, I will increase my residual income tremendously. I will diversify my revenue streams and prepare for my future. And, I will figure out which sites are most profitable for me.
Are you running any similar experiments? If so, I would love to hear about them!
